Mark Hollingsworth

Mark Hollingsworth is the Chief Executive Officer of a global charitable organisation, based in London, United Kingdom, a role he has held since 2014. Originally a graduate of the Royal Air Force College Cranwell, he served for sixteen years as a senior officer in the Royal Air Force, with operational and leadership experience in the United Kingdom and overseas. Following his military career, Mark has worked extensively in the non‑profit and academic sectors, holding senior executive and board leadership roles and serving as a visiting lecturer in leadership. His work has focused on ethical leadership, strategy, governance, and organisational culture in complex and values‑driven environments. Mark holds an MBA, is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership, and contributes to several international advisory and steering groups concerned with leadership development and scientific governance, and is a member of the Faculty of a Middle East Leadership Programme. An accomplished speaker, he has addressed many international conferences on leadership and governance in Canada, the United Kingdom, Kenya, China, Rwanda, Dubai, Georgia, South Africa, Turkey, Pakistan and Ethiopia. He lives in Suffolk, England, and maintains a longstanding interest in leadership as a discipline and practice, alongside pursuits including painting, golf, backgammon, and the opera.
